What Richmond Council does about pests in 2026
Richmond upon Thames does not run a pest control service. Richmond Council's pest control page, updated on 2 October 2026, tells residents to approach a private company instead, to get three quotes and to ask about call-out fees. Tenants are pointed to their landlord or housing association first.
So there is no council price for rats, mice or bed bugs in Richmond, Kew, Ham or Petersham, and no council waiting list to join. There is no published local rat count either: Richmond was among the 13 London boroughs that did not supply figures to a freedom of information survey covering 2023 to mid-2025.
