What Hounslow and Ealing councils do about pests in Chiswick
Chiswick is split between two boroughs, Hounslow and Ealing, so check which council sends your council tax bill before ringing either.
On the Hounslow side, the council will treat a private home if you pay up front by card. Its April 2026 price list puts mice at £180 in Hounslow, the same as rats found indoors, while rats confined to the garden are £155, and each price buys up to three visits. Bed bugs cost £300 in Hounslow for up to two rooms. Nobody gets a discount any more, whatever their income, and proofing is extra. Ealing is harder to pin down. Its own pages gave conflicting accounts of whom it treats when they were checked in October 2026, so ring Ealing Council or check its prices page before counting on a council visit.
